In a distant light I see a yellow gift box..
with a red ribbon
with a card
with a smile...
It's glowing in the sunshine.. but there is a distance between us...of time.
Uncertainty wrapped in the colours of philosophy is given to each one of us in ways of dreams, pictures, of goals, in forms of tried and tested belief
and it is for that one yellow gift box that we are always asked to give way to new beginnings, to forget the gifts that remained unopened in the past and turn towards the new, the waiting.
Always told.. 'everything happens for the best'... but no one knows what 'best' is... or does 'best' even exist?
is it not that as we move on, we learn to cherish and respect what we get and adapt. Maybe it is 'adaptation' that was shown to us as being the 'best'...
Maybe 'adaptation' is the 'yellow gift box'.
Nobody will ever know what lies ahead, nobody... all the predictions and the assurances are given on the basis of what happened in the past, time and again, the basis- what usually always happened.., hence it isn't important that if someone found the yellow gift box each time in their future... we to have to find it in ours. No!
Be ready for a red , a blue , or even a black gift box... maybe this time things will happen differently... maybe this time the 'usual' won't be...
It takes lots of courage and strength to see change. Even if a thousand verses are written & sung since centuries praying for change, yet in the heart of hearts It is only the yellow gift box being wished for ... once again just the same yellow gift box.
And even If I do cover the distance of time and find myself a pretty pink gift box instead...Surely a hypocritical philosopher would pop up and sing..
"Oh!The Pretty pink Gift Box we always knew of
Ah! the yellow one was just a jinx
The old times never go wrong
We made you wish for the yellow gift box
But in the end the best colour be Pretty Pink !
